I finished my bachelors degree and have a offer at a big 4 in Vancouver Canada at a starting salary of 37k/year.
My friend who is 20 years old started as a Rail Traffic Controller (RTC) and is making a lot more in Calgary AB.
RTC is the same thing as a Air traffic controller except with trains.
I have worked on the rail road before so there is a high chance I would be hired.
Job involves sitting in a air conditioned office but is super high stress.

What has your experience been like accounting?

Can someone comment on the Calgary market in general. I have about 250K cash and 500K in housing/business equity and am interested in purchasing a business in Calgary.
Probably going to be looking at liquor stores or retirement homes.
