Not really a *job* job but I'm looking to get into maybe some consulting, especially from the technical end. Like I said I don't think of myself as a writer which is why I got a dual degree in engineering. And for right now, I'm attempting to pull in some cash and credibility doing some Solidity programming gigs on Upwork. But the more I think about it the more I think my true advantage lies in communicating. I like being a code monkey & all that, but I tend to spend more time than the average joe thinking through the best way to do things for a specific task, than actually doing them. But I find it's a great skill because it saves a lot of time if I had otherwise jumped into something and later realized I should've done this or that a different way and ended up backtracking. Call it risk management strategy, if I had to justify it as something other than professional ADHD & procrastination lol

The being creative part is big though you're right. I might just try freewriting & stuff like that and simply see what sticks.

Do not listen to this absolute cuck

Do not be a financial fucking idiot, the most profitable and logical solution to spending is to buy something OUTRIGHT which means you pay in full. No one ever seems to calculate the interest in loans for cars or house but youll see that you end up paying 10-50% ontop of what the cost would of been to pay in full.

it's very fucking simple
>if you dont have the money to pay for something in full
>you cant afford it

theres people working construction jobs getting paid 25k a year and somehow managed to squeeze a £400 monthly bill onto their debit card for their new 2018 mercedes

People go broke trying to look rich, they spend all their money on depreciating assets as if they have hundreds of thousands in the band.

how do you guys 'split up' your crypto?

I'm generating a new address for each coin/token(eth), currently I'm mostly using huobi(exchange), which I guess is 'safer' due to it being unlikely for a chinese company to leave any info to EU(or US, guess it applies aswell but I'm in EU). I occasionally use other exchanges and stuff like coinswitch, so even if huobi were to leave out any information they'd only see the wallets I've withdrawn to, which won't reflect all my holdings at least. (yes I know of decentralized exchanges).

what I'm worried about is that transactions between my own addresses in the future, makes it super easy for some government entity to link all my various holdings together. is this too paranoid? I'm actively avoiding sending stuff between my own wallets, but assume I want to sell in the future, I'd probably end up sending all my stuff to exchanges where I'm "kyc"-verified anyway, so it wouldn't really help..?

I know using huobi and such isn't really being anonymous, but I'm not doing anything illegal, or even holding any large amounts - so I'm not super worried.
but in case crypto at a whole goes south and laws crack down and shit, who knows what could happen, and it takes very little extra work to gain a whole lot more security. localbitcoins is currently not feasible here, and anyway if something does happen in the future, localbitcoins would definitely be targeted.

any opinions? do you just keep everything in the same wallet? linking to exchanges?

I know it'd be possible to fake being hacked by just going through monero and such, we'll see in the future, I'm just looking for some input.

Well I mean I *am* kind of a hobbyist though, I'd rather have more choice of customization, even if it means a more bloated/cluttered UI structure and if it doesn't "Just Werk" as often.

But idk it just seems impossible to strike a balance for me - Arch (actually using Manjaro) is great for the most part but its greatest strength, that is, the level of detail you can tweak everything, is also its greatest weakness as sometimes it's just too much damn effort to fix some simple thing like a sound driver refusing to work. Especially when you reinstall and remember having the same problem before, but not how you fixed it. On the other hand, shit like *ubuntu is just too normie-tier for me. Honestly worse than using winblows at that point.

I think the source of a lot of my problems is using KDE...as far as I can tell it's pretty much the only DE with its unmatched level of polish and tweakability. So almost feel like I don't have a choice. But again, goddamn it I can't go 5 minutes in it without encountering some near-essential missing feature that bothers the heck out of me so much that it's to the point where I can't ignore my brain telling me, if you went back to windows you wouldn't even notice shit like this.
