The Bank of International Settlements is at the forefront with CBDC as well as the G7 and G20. It's literally going to happen in the next few years. Will it be a success in the long run is an entirely different question. Watch the video. This is the head of the BIS saying what CBDC means to him and the BIS.

I don't expect things to enter wheelbarrow territory like Weimar did actually, they could bring about a revolution which they don't want, but 50%-100% inflation will be bad enough to scare the cattle into embracing CBDC, which won't even be money as we know it. The ploy may fail in certain countries, I think they'll have a harder time in the US. But they definitely want to try it.
