How much was bitcoin the first time you heard of it? Did you buy it? If not, why didn't you?

First time I ever saw it was from the last segment of this video, which was released at the start of 2012 originally. I googled it out of curiosity, but could only really understand that it was some kind of internet money that was going for a few dollars each. The guy in the video seemed mad as fuck at it, so I thought that it was maybe some kind of scam that ended up getting him JUST'd. Because of that, I didn't do any further reading or research on bitcoin.
