growing up, my best friend was always smarter than me.
I have come to realize that almost all my developments were realized by him about a year earlier.
Even things as simple as switching from reddit to 4chan, he did that a year before I realized how shit reddit was too.
He's a poor white male who unironically made it into an ivyleague on merit alone.
He got a full ride.
Best I could do was a top ten cope school.
My only solace is that my brain is better wired towards STEM fields, while he's more of a humanities type guy. Still, I know the full truth is that he's still smarter. Everyone who sees his writing agrees that he's some sort of genius. Not because it's pretentious, but because of how "crafted" it seems.
Venting, but it's crazy how some people are clearly gifted. A little inspiring, and a little disheartening.
