congratulations on getting off xanax anon, i used to have a benzo habit after i got off opiates because i thought they "helped" but really what they did was turn me into a drooling retard who ruined all my relationships, especially when combined with alcohol it is a very dangerous class of chemical and i think future generations will look back at current incentivized patterns of prescription and judge doctors quite harshly for handing them out like candy to anyone who wants them. imo it constitutes a clear violation of the Hippocratic oath (which i take as sacred)

benzo withdrawal is the only thing i've ever experienced which even comes close to being as bad as cold turkey opiate withdrawal, i didn't sleep for something like 8 days and i'm pretty sure it damaged by cognitive ability permanently. remember to taper if you have access to safe supply
