This. I have this strange skill of being charismatic as fuck during interviews. In the last 12 years I didn't get the job I interviewed for literally once. The funny thing is, I'm almost always underqualified for the job. The first one I applied for, I didn't have ANY qualifications for, I just bullshitted my way into it and bailed as soon as somehting better came along. Rinse and repeat around once a year or two. In the meantime I took a short detour into alcoholism and near death from liver failure, but that's another story.

My current job, I outright admitted to not having the degree they needed, with a shit eating smile on my face. I just told them I'm willing to work hard on filling any gaps in my knowledge, and that they won't regret giving me a chance. And holy shitting balls, they bought it. Not only that, they gave me two grand per annum MORE than the job offer stipulated. Now, problem with that is I actually have to work hard to keep up, but its doable, and the money makes it worth it.

I know it sounds like bullshit, and frankly I wouldn't believe it myself if I heard it from somebody else. Point of it all being, its true. It's ALL about your personality, by which I mean your ability to bullshit convincingly, and the halo effect. Its not a goddamned coincidence that I'm 6'3, White, and male. It's not fair, its not nice, but there you have it.

Hope this doesn't get buried in crypto shitposting, but has anyone here ever thought of pursuing a CFA certification?
It's an internationally recognized certification that integrates investing, portfolio management, etc...
You don't take any classes, just 3 exams and then accrue 48 months relevant work experience, but supposedly the exams are some of the hardest they offer on Wall Street.

Not so much as shilling it, but trying you get everyone's take on it since I'm thinking of it myself
