I grew up in a rural area in the '90s: whenever a farm or a factory burned down, it was a strange anomaly that made headlines and everyone talked about it.
Now these fires seem to be happening more frequently, and the news either downplays the severity or outright does damage control by saying it's an everyday occurrence that's no need for alarm.
