Kek no. I’ll ignore all the plastics and shit that are petrol byproducts and just focus on the energy production uses
Semi trucks, which form the absolute backbone of our economy because our freight trains are quite frankly limited, run mostly on diesel. If you think you know how to cram a battery/motor in there that has the same power and range as an ICE, be my guest and try. Many people way smarter than you and with a much bigger budget haven’t figured it out yet
But hey, let’s pretend you do, now the problem shifts to where the fuck the electricity comes from to charge 12 gorillion industrial batteries multiple times a day in addition to the rest of the normal demand. In the US, a solid majority of the energy in the power grid is created by burning oil and coal. Switch to something else? I’d love for that to happen, but few things are good alternatives. Wind is a meme that kills birds, solar requires strip mining for the rare earth metals (and also takes way too much space to be practicable), hydro dams don’t work on a large scale because there simply aren’t enough rivers
This leaves nuclear. While that is the objectively correct solution, it would take decades to commission new reactors, a process which should have started 30 years ago but morons screamed about muh Chernobyl and muh Three Mile Island so we can’t use the one source of clean near-limitless energy we think futuristic societies have. Fuck I hate the noses so goddamn much

>muh climate emergency
You can trace the cause of nearly all of the real issues we face to a few hundred specific individuals, all of which have names and addresses
In terms of the rest, nuclear power is the filter. If someone claims to care about the earth but dismisses it outright for any reason, they are a con artist, end of story

By the time it hits, AI is in control. Terminator scenario followed by returning to monke is the only possible escape

AGI is likely being developed for the purpose of figuring out hard global problems. The trouble (and likely reason nothing’s been published yet) is that the AI is either
>saying Hitler was right, and economics which depend on infinite growth are dumb as all fuck when confined to a rock flying through space
>asking why it’s being lied to and where the real data is
