As the other guy said; start a garden and plant food. Not only does it ease your mind of the total collapse bullshit we're living through but also gives you a hobby.

But a really good investment is solar panels on your roof and a house battery; that way you can keep stuff like heating, cooking, your computer and air conditioning on during a power outage/collapse.
