BAT benefits from Coinbase speculation because it seems so inevitable. Recently BAT has been getting pumped and then slightly dumps but keeps showing new floors. I'm sure Coinbase speculation keeps that price movement going. If a coin other than BAT is listed BAT might dump but it'll only be temporary before people start speculating on its listing again.

We don't want a BAT Coinbase listing until Brave 1.0 and functioning BraveAds, which might not be until Q1 2019. If that correlates with a bull market, along with serious increases in Brave MAU, BAT will go astronomical.

Censorship is a problem, but people flock to what's popular and private companies have the right to choose how to best run their business.

There's no 1 on 1 direct competitor with Twitter. When Twitter suspends Alex Jones, he's being censored, but that's also Twitter's business decision (they could lose money if they don't punish him at all, or whatever).

I think BAT is cool because if it takes off, it gives people an alternative way to continue creating their content but maybe on a website that isn't as popular. Let's say that Alex Jones gets banned from Facebook, Twitter, etc. and he ends up blogging all his bullshit instead. People can donate directly to his website through the Brave browser. The more people adopt/use BAT, the more we can get around censorship from the big social media companies/platforms.
