>With meme stocks, on the other hand, that’s exactly what’s happening: The small investors on the r/Wallstreetbets subreddit (which has 2 million subscribers) and other sites are taking part in a conscious collective effort to drive the prices of these stocks up. No one is in charge of this effort, though, of course, some voices are louder than others. But it is a self-organized campaign with people using the message boards to communicate with each other, encourage each other, and reassure each other (thus the many posts on r/Wallstreetbets admonishing fellow “autists” — their self-mocking term for each other — to not lose their nerve and to keep holding GameStop’s stock). Thus threads with titles “We are the captains now,” “Have no fear, GME gang. We are consolidating in preparation for tomorrow’s moon landing,” and “GME — it never has to end.”

>In other words, what’s happening with GameStop looks less like a speculative bubble and more like a contemporary, internet-mediated version of the “bull raids” that were characteristic of the stock market in the early 20th century, when organized pools of investors would combine to drive stock prices up.

>> "The traders on r/Wallstreetbets — which describes itself, tellingly, as “Like 4chan found a Bloomberg Terminal” — are trying to do the same thing to Wall Street."

Potentially go up. As people stop saving but look to hedge. So what do you buy? Gold/silver or stocks or simply REAL ESTATE. And if you get negative interest loans even worse since they will get paid (a small amount) to take loans. Then the economy crashes because negative interest rates are INSANE. And prices go down.

GET IN HERE RETARDS.

If your country has negative interest rate in bank accounts, and or is putting a limit to how much real money you can make transactions with. The banks intend to use digital only currency eventually easing you into it so they can charge negative interest rates ( you pay the banks to hold your money). They can also bail in themselves using your money. LEARN TO INVEST TO AVOID THIS THIS IS YOUR WARNING.

>obvious fact that severe poverty has disappeared in the most industrialized countries.
Key word "severe"

78% of fulltime workers still live paycheck to paycheck
>inb4 nationalist sheep says it's the individuals fault/irresponsibility with money
False. It is due to expenses.
For instance, 50% of renters spend over 30% of their income on rent. Of those, half spend over 50% of their income on rent. 30% of jobs pay hardship wages (you literally can't move out). 32% of all jobs pay livable wages (basically guaranteed to not be able to save much of anything. You will basically be on the red the whole time). Etc.

So ya, "severe"poverty isn't a thing here but poverty still is.
>inb4 a retard says "f-fake news!"
I swear there WILL be a delusional fucking dumbass that can't comprehend numbers. That special person that can't understand basic statistics.
