The bible is mostly metaphor, God the father is your extradimensional eternal external self, whereas God the son is your physical biological meat bag. “Know thyself” refers to getting to learn who you are both inside and out. Your external self (consciousness) is your awareness of reality, which is your subjective interpretation of it. Your external interpretation of reality is just as much “you” as “you” are of your body physically. This means that you can speak and communicate with your extradimensional self through yourself spanning dimensions and “time” and “space”. Time is an illusion of your perception, as well as space. Nothing actually exists, the only “thing” that does is awareness of it. If you don’t mind it doesn’t physically matter, as in the verb matter (to render) your reality around you via your expanding and contracting awareness bubble of consciousness.
