I think they’re even less homogenous than the US. It’s a fuckhuge population over a massive land area.
The middle class is supposed to be expanding and luxury goods and status symbols have really been catching on lately. They’re buying nikes and lulus. A Nintendo switch is $200, that’s not even 2 pairs of Nike’s, though I don’t know how much they go for in China.
