Sounds like you're after a front-office wall street job, and private equity would probably have fun negotiation involvement early on, investment banking maybe after you hit MD. Still, you'll probably be at least a small amount repetitive because they involve shilling/modeling and those are cookie-cutter tasks.

Property management is one of the largest expenses in rental real estate investing.

Single-family home management also costs significantly more per unit of management. They also charge for certain tasks, and these charges come into play more or less frequency depending on factors such as the type of building, quality of school districts, and demographics.

For example, an investor with property in a low-crime, above-average income area will have property management that takes their cut, but due to demographics, the tenants are less likely to require an eviction, break the lease term, or relocate at the end of a lease.

Another investor with properties in high-crime, low-income areas with shit schools will attract tenants befitting of the environment. The property management will take their cut along with the charges associated with property damages, evictions, replacement tenant search, etc.. These tenants also attract more legal concerns, which the management company can often only go so far in helping with.

I really hope it works out for you. Not something I'd do but just be sure you have management in place, your numbers are bulletproof and reflect probabilities of tenant problems etc. then go for it!

>spooky documentary cgi
>"words we wouldn't understand"
>suddenly, black box trading is the problem
It's not upsetting to me; more amused than annoyed. What videos like this have done is create a submarket within silver and gold, ones where there are no centralized exchange rates and that deals in much lower volume.
To me this is exciting because there's so much more volatility and opportunity for arbitrage.

They ended up not doing much for me. Like everyone else on the internet I saw Limitless and thought it'd be neat to step up even if just a little. Long story short I went full autist and managed to test myself in a blinded experiment. Powdered each into pudding. control is plain, and experimentals were piracetam and some other shit I can't remember, lost my notes but basically no difference in test accuracy/completion time over 2 weeks on each from placebo.

Currently I just do stimulants. Stacker3, straight caffeine pill (sometimes ground up in a nasal spray), graduating to adderall soon, getting my diagnosis this week I think. But with this I gotta be sure my sleep doesn't get whack, so I count hours and take melatonin to maintain a loose balance.

>to maximize utility across the population
I don't understand why that's the goal. That sounds like a model of idealistic communism. Which isn't bad, but we've seen what happens when this is attempted.

If you were to say something like, "...to maximize profit of the firm in their trades with the consumer base," that'd make more sense to me.

These are all great responses, I'm so grateful for you guys. You're the big brother I never had

Tiny, I'm glad you mentioned staying in contact with them. We don't often hang out after work more than once every couple of months but it's still well worth the effort to be there when it happens. Made a note for myself, thank you

I haven't accepted the offer yet, you're right. The company does not promote from within and no one with my job earns what the new offer pays, so even though I am the highest-performing it seems like it might be a stretch. There is also much talk of budget limitations when discussing staffing and overtime. I'm not sure if it'd sound like I'm rubing it in if I were to compare the two with my supervisor.
It's probably safe to say I'm misinterpreting something. In your opinion, what's incorrect in my perspective? Am I just trying to talk myself out of a difficult discussion?
