https://www.coindesk.com/germany-considers-crypto-legal-equivalent-to-fiat-for-tax-purposes

>Notably, the new German document justified its tax decisions by regarding cryptocurrencies a legal method for payment, stating:

“Virtual currencies (cryptocurrencies, e.g., Bitcoin) become the equivalent to legal means of payment, insofar as these so-called virtual currencies of those involved in the transaction as an alternative contractual and immediate means of payment have been accepted.”

https://www.winheller.com/en/banking-finance-and-insurance-law/bitcoin-trading/bitcoin-and-tax.html

>like the sale of Bitcoins, transactions, which are used merely for the pure payment of a fee, should not be subject to value-added tax according to a statement by the German Federal Ministry of Finance, therefore the use of Bitcoins as a means of payment (therefore, for example, for the acquisition of services or goods) is not taxable according to Section 1(1) of the German Value-Added Tax Act.

> At the same time, a crypto can represent an agreement for, or an actual exercise of, a payment or investment. It can be accepted as a medium of exchange by natural or legal persons and be transmitted, stored and traded electronically. Coins and tokens can also bear rights similar to those of traditional securities.
or do they only mean the VAT part?

Allright guys next month i start my apprenticeship, so i have money to invest.
The problem is that i live in germany and good websites/apps (robinhood) are not available in germany.
Other websites/app want a ridiculous amount of fees.

So i´m a fucking noob and don't know, if there is a good alternative in germany or in what should i invest, stock market or cryptocurrencies?

Make 80k EUR per year, paying 900 for a big 2 room central apartment and lunch costs 5-9 EUR

Why spend 3x all that in London and live in zone 3 and not walk to work?

When did you realize you could move to Germany for one year and cash out all crypto tax free?

How did you handle it?

Payed 200k for a 2 room in Berlin 2015, now its close to 300k worth. Why do Germans hate money so much and only rent from big corporations, that's just money down the drain

We Scandinavians has been trained to see real estate opportunities, I basically paid 50% with profits from my Copenhagen apartment I sold before, now slowly gentrifing hip areas with artisanal coffe shops

There is so much talk about "Germany muh open borders" or that there is a lack of skilled workers, yet most papers and so on are in German and there seem to be an acceptable form of almost-racism to complain about australians, britons and others that they don't learn the language

At the same time 10000s of arabs and turks who don't speak german and earn welfare, no one critizises. Even the german ministers complain about tax generating english business owners https://www.dw.com/en/cdus-jens-spahn-slams-berlins-english-speaking-hipsters/a-40212991
