Anyone here ever do business with the Japanese? Experiences?

I remember seeing a thread here a few years ago about doing business with the Chinese, and to avoid at all costs. I think Japanese business is the exact opposite, and I get the sense their honour is second to none. The disparity in culture is what seems like the biggest reason not to deal with them, which is a shame... is it possible?
