Hey /biz/

I'm starting at a new company in a few weeks and will have about 25% of my income available for investment.

I know the tried and true advice is to max out my 401k, but I'm not sure what my 401k investment choices will be at my new company. I currently don't even contribute to my 401k because it's actively managed, has high fees, and doesn't give me the option to invest in Vanguard ETFs (VOO).

My investment plan is
5% to 1.2% APY savings account
Max contribution to 401K if I have choice of investment vehicles
5% to VOO fund

Sounds good?
