an interesting chart. well you could read this two ways. A lot of peoples jobs, people who were good to have around b/c they had answers to questions are being replaced en masse by computers and the internet. So knowers and doers are mostly out of a job. So its just an economy of sayers, havers and be-ers.

have you seen europe and china? germany just nationalized 5 nat gas companies, and china's biggest property developer is going bust.
Netflix tanked pretty hard a few years ago.
I'd be betting Facebook for the nosedive. Meta a shit, microshit is awful, apple is a brainless husk, amazon is evil but I get my packages on time, Google is so sus that its well beyond a meme. Its only a matter of time before some people who actually understand how they're stealing the wealth of the american people get into government and destroy their infrastructure.

The entire infrastructure of the data economy is that everyone has a smartphone in their pocket at all times. All these freemium models have a deep underpinning in public trust and perceived value. that well exceeds their perceived threat value. The market is rife for a competitor to challenge this hegemony. These companies are gonna go the way of cable soon. There's only so much data that can be extracted and monetized. and we're going from unknown quantities to known quantities and the knowns are significantly less than anticipated. They've been grossly overestimating profit and neglecting effect sizes. At a certain interest rate level, every ad campaign is going to DEMAND results. and have that contractually mandated. Once the legalese catches up to product knowledge these people are fucked.

Raise rates by 100bps? I never said 125bps. The market is pricing in 150bps, but I think it'd be best to take a more conservative position of 175bps. That's why today I'm humbly and nimbly announcing a 200bps rate hike. Going forward this 300bps hike should help to curb inflation, we hope that this 400bps hike will be enough to restore confidence in the dollar.
