>BSCE

Almost every time I go to the doctor they tell me they tried engineering and switched to medical because they couldnt make it. Really wish I knew that in school. It would be nice waiting around for people to come throw money at me all day regardless of whether I do my job right with zero supervision. Meanwhile I need to literally move mountains and my work is heavily scrutinized at every turn. Better than waging at least.

>[anything from the last ten years] has only ever existed in a climate of low interest rates
>we no longer have low interest rates
>therefore [anything from the last ten years] will die/fail/collapse

In realty, le Macro narrative is just that - a narrative like any other. It's pathetic to think that assets only go up due to money printing. This is bear market fud, plain and simple.

Money printing does provide a tailwind to most assets, that much is true. But it's far from the only, or even the primary factor. Especially with something as inherently bullish as BTC.

Every transaction has exactly 50% chance of succeeding: either the coin goes up or down from where you bought it.

Bitcoin was designed to fight inflation. How? When dollars needed to be taken out of existence, pull the rug. And poof, goodbye dollaroos.

The above event should have made it clear to you it wasn’t what they claimed.

after graduating with a bachelor's in history, i moved to SE Asia to teach ESL and ended up making a career of it, ending up teaching at a small Catholic college for a few years. i got fired for insubordination (and also because I caught a priest molesting a student) so I have been collecting neetbux while going back to school to become an addiction recovery counselor (i spent most of the time in SE Asia strung out on heroin). I also run a needle exchange in my city and train groups on how to use naloxone to reverse opioid overdoses. I am only alive because of a string of miracles, which has given me purpose in life- something to be grateful for.

Definitely identify with the lazy-and-lack-willpower thing. I too wonder how my life might have been different if I hadn't been raised by a mentally ill person. Then again, I recognize how that particular line of thinking isn't productive, because it represents the continuation of a pattern of making excuses for underperformance, instead of re-orientation in order to address the issue. Sure, my mom is mentally ill- doesn't mean that's an excuse for me, a 30+ year old man, to continue to half-ass my life and feel sorry for myself.

Wow! That got deep. Sorry for treating /xsg/ as my blog- but, I figure, it's good to get the stuff out. Seems like articulating the machinery of our consciousness is healthy- cathartic, somehow.

I'm sure I'll lose money in the short term. Like >>23271224 said, who knows how fast it will bounce back and there would be a risk of getting priced out if the momentum continued. There will be a buy frenzy for BTC if a significant amount of those accounts sell. Which if I was effected by Mt. Gox, I'd want my gains on my liquidity returned after all this time.
