I'm already betting that they will entirely replace them in some arenas. Realistically, it just needs to reach the normie gamer markets with games that are WORTH PLAYING. Then, crypto will at first replace the microtransaction methods (way cheaper than credit cards for small transactions) and then the rest will be history. The real holdbacks are that the primary cryptogame players are cryptocurrency traders... which means that fun isn't as important as chance for ROI. Th other part is that the devs don't think about the normie players enough. They don't ask "Would anyone play this, if they couldn't win money?" before launching. The VAST majority right now, are more about gambling than gaming. Then the good fun ones tend to have devs with no grasp of economics and fuck their economy from day 1. So, this is why I was mentioning games like cryptospacecommand, blocklords.io and kingdomsbeyond. Those are games that people will play, even if they couldn't make profit off of them. I've already bought into Kingdomsbeyond and got 1 character in blocklords.io before the big eth chain launch, to test the waters. I haven't tried CSC yet (2.7gb download, and need muh bandwidth right now.) but it looks like the same sort of thing. I expect the first two to boom if the devs pull their weight, but they're both too young to bet on too deep.
>are these
Most are fucking rehashed games from the glory days of the internet, but monetized so we can gamble playing shit that we used to play in the early 2000s. Those ones though, are pretty much all dried up at this point, and now we're entering stage 2, where people are actually finishing the real projects. 0xuniverse is sort of a bastard child of the first stage, attempting to mature into the 2nd stage.
