Anyone else have experiences that show change in consumer spending? I live in a small beach town in the US that typically has a lot of tourism. Memorial Day Weekend this place was a fucking zoo. I’m talking people just standing on top of each other. This weekend is maybe 30% that number. It could certainly be a coincidence with confounding factors (weather, luck of the draw) but it’s about as close as to a controlled experiment you could get. This tells me consumer spending is about to drop if true. Anyone else have experiences like this?
