Personally i'm very bullish on mercury, because for the longest time i was an UFOtard and every single mention of abductees the past 80 years who asked the ayyys how their anti-gravity stuff was working, they were answered the same thing every time :

So antigravity could be simply be creating a giant magnet.

What's even more interesting is the top-secret nazi-UFO projects, born from the VRIL (where a german hottie was a medium in contact with ayyy from andromeda and supposedly received telepathically/demonically plans to conceive anti-gravity UFOs) made several attempt at creating point zero energy and electromagnetic propulsion engines. And some may have functioned, like the Haunebu 1 & 2, the Reichsflugscheibe or Andromeda-Gerät.
But from what we know, even if it was successful to a certain extent, nazis lacked time and couldn't solve a big issue : the radiation from the high velocity mercury was liquefying the internal organs of the pilots and they died shortly after the essais.

Anyway, all the scientists on these top secret projects ended up being exfiltrated in the US via the operation paperclip, so if it was indeed functioning, chances are great most UFOs we see are from US black projects nowaday.

And last but not least : mercury have a lot of incredible properties, just like silver. And just like silver it have the exact same concentration in the earth crust!
