Something that never gets taken into account with regard to silver is the military application. Schectman made a really good point about that. It's likely that the military industrial application plays a major role in silver price suppression because of its strategic value in weapons like the Tomahawk missile. The old Tomahawk V schematics were showing that about 15 kg of silver was being used in EVERY missile (wiring, soldering, battery, hardening compounds, etc). That's almost 500 oz of silver in every Tomahawk V. This was decades ago and there are new missiles where we don't know the constituency (Tomahawk Va and Vb series), but the design hasn't fundamentally changed very much. I guess that's another way in which real wealth is secretly flowing from the U.S. to overseas.
