IIRC the SEC report confirmed that the January Sneeze was not due to short covering or closing, but was due to retail buying pressure. If that's true, then of what use was the dark pools? How could retail buying power have affected the price if all of our order lots under 100 shares get sent to the Shadow Realm anyway? Maybe the hedgies have the ability to switch on and off the ability for our orders to make it to the lit exchange when they create mass media FOMO for a shit-stock they pump, and then dump on us not long after. Any thoughts?
