Realistically speaking what would you do in either scenario?

>Scenario 1
Stock market goes on downtrend for a whole year and unknowingly stays down for a decade before getting back to current prices.
>Amazon $600
>Apple $25
>Facebook $60
>General Electric $1
>Home Depot $40
>Intel $10
>Microsoft $40
>Nividia $100
>Tesla $80
What are the odds you went all in 6 months into the "dip" and would you hold if after 5 years they've only gone up a whopping 20%?

Alternative question coming up.
