With the banks about to collapse according to some sources because of the Deutsche Bank downgrade how is Chainlink going to be used for Oracles for Swift? Since banks are about to collapse and won't be bailed out again what is the point of Chainlink?

It's not competing in the transaction space. It's a decentralized oracle network, providing secure data feeds for inputs/outputs for companies that want to use smart-contracts without being limited to tokenization.
In other words, if chainlink pulls off what it's planning to, it will automate financial agreements, and allow companies to pay for the level of security they want, relevant to the contract size.
Now if you think how much companies spend on contracts that could easily be data-driven, not just in the financial sector, and consider them paying a fraction of that cost using the ChainLink network in LINK tokens, it's kind of obvious to see that the marketcap could easily grow. It's whether or not they pull off the tech.
