Yep, my family lived that history. We were some of the miners that flooded the market with cheap silver in the 1880's and 90's. We were all in on FREE SILVER. I still own a couple old silver mines they were holding when the Sherman Act was repealed and the silver markets crashed. Silver made my family rich and then it made them poor and now it doesn't really mean a lot to us anymore. A few of us are still miners though. Still digging silver and gold for a living.

Not gonna lie, I think it's a bit weird we went a couple years without anyone breathlessly shilling mining stocks or calling anime enjoyers pedos
and now within 24 hours we got someone doing both.

welcome back silver miner I guess.

I love the libertarian stack, and the celluloid pinback repro. Free silver is an interesting idea.

this is probably the pic you're actually after.

Leadville strongly supported the Free Silver movement, so it's no surprise to find Free Silver pamphlets in my great great grandparent's junk. My family has a long history of supporting silver money. I still support it, but I very much doubt to see it in my lifetime again.
