Could I have bought those? Probably. But before they pumped, people were sure AVAX was a scam. And now Avax has lost about half its value compared to where it was because of the double spend issue.

The insinuation of opportunity cost assumes that the next shitcoin I'd buy would be "the lucky one that really moons hard this time", but these purchases are based on belief in the fundamentals in the first place and the marketable value.
