Charles Hoskinson (creator of Cardano) was the co founder and CEO of Ethereum. Vitalik Buterin wrote the code and Charles was the brains who organised and got the big money involved in the beginning. Ethereum was flawed from the beginning because it can't scale, it's written in spaghetti code and it doesn't work as intended. Charles initially wanted to delay the launch Ethereum because he saw that if Ethereum grew to what it has today, this would happen. The rest of the team wanted to rush it out as all of them including Vitalik never thought Ether would actually be as big as what it is today, so therefore never planned ahead properly. The only person who saw this coming was Charles, so he left and created Cardano.
