I'd say because he either has no time OR they didn't want that he shows up there because then we could link it all together without a doubt.
however many banks that already have a connection to chainlink (through the POC at SIBOS) for example were there, like BNP Paribas, Barclays, Santander....they all send lots of people there so they can talk/listen and read about what Ari Juels and Nick Szabo have to say about smart contracts.
