Two of these were a weeks wages of a Labourer in 1824 (the date of this coin).
That is how undervalued silver is at the moment. It would have to get to $500+ an ounce to achieve the same value today, which could even be plausible once inflation hits.

I’ve always found it interesting. This Crown I have is from 1824. A labourer would have had to work for half a week to get that. That just shows how undervalued silver is now compared to when it as used as actual money. That value ratio per ounce may come back in the next few years.
