The erosion of the middle class is predicated on the idea that we all make the same amount (just above poverty) regardless of education.

The fucked up reality is that we were sold an ABSOLUTE bill of goods with what should be one of the purest human pursuits: education.
Math majors, engineers, computer scientists, They'll all be between 50 and 100k and they'll own nothing.
They won't be happy, but they won't know any better. Zoomers were conditioned for a post SSRI reality where zombie levels of passion are not just common, but predominant.
People with passion for higher pursuits are now relegated to YouTube channels if they're lucky. All of industry is a bait and switch at this point until the next bubble, I can only hope that the next bubble is robust, but honestly I'm concerned that the preceding downturn will have to be equally robust...
