You’re 100% correct anon. Monero is objectively better than ETH which is a trend chasing project that failed the decentralized test(DAO hack) it should’ve died a long time ago. They’ve been trying to fixed the scalability for 2 years now and POS is unproven.

XMR just works.

A simple, affordable and safe way for anyone in the world to store the value of labor and time.

Why would this be so controversial? I wonder....

ALTs have value because money flows into crypto through Bitcoin and people look for greater returns in Alts. If you look at the early Bitcointalk forum you'll find many founders of the major cryptos looking for ways to get Bitcoin. Larimer is there. Sergey Ivancheglo is there thinking mining Litecoin is an easy way to gain more Bitcoin until he comes up with scam projects NXT and then IOTA. 99% of these projects are bullshit ways to scam retards. Since 2013 not a single use case for any project has materialized into an actual use case that solves real world problems and draws value into ecosystem. The only thing they've done is made founders rich as fuck by funneling money from dumb investors. Notice that when BTC finally starts hitting near ATH this month, lots of ALTs which supposedly have use cases wake up from the dead after 3 years and start popping. The idea that you think Bitcoin is hindering ALT growth shows you are dumb as fuck. ALTs have value because of Bitcoin.

DeFi right now is a meme ponzi scheme that incentivizes rewards through shitcoin tokens and people falling for this and trading back and forth. These shitcoin tokens that you are pointing are here today and will be gone tomorrow, not much different than the 2017/2018 ICOs. Now if you pointed me to a compelling use case solving real world problems, then there could at least be a discussion. But literally pointing me to Sushiswap, etc while multibillion dollar tech companies like Square, Microstrategy, instuitions, banks, hedgefund billionaires, hell even the first state actors (Iran) are acquiring Bitcoin and just storing them as a hedge diversifier asset proving your argument to be the typical low IQ of a shitcoiner.

record number of GBTC bought by accredited institutional investors in October 2020. It doesn't really matter to them if BTC is $5K or $50K. It's asset allocation and these guys have known bought the digital gold, uncorrelated diversifier meme

> "If you want to endow anything of value and you want to convey it across a 100 years without losing it, how are you going to do it? Would you invest it Apple stock? Real Estate? Gold? Take your 100 million dollars and hold it in fiat currency. You're going to have 1% or half a percent of it left. You are going to lose 99% of it. Stocks? Is Apple going to be around? Gold? Gold miners produce 2% more every year. If you were to own the entire supply of gold and it were pure, if gold miners create 2% more every year, the rule of 70 says gold supply doubles in 35 years which means you would own half the gold supply in 35 years and a quarter of the gold supply in 70 years and in a 100 years maybe 15% of the supply. Real Estate. Do you know what the property tax rate is in Florida? 100 Million dollars in Florida is $2 Million a year. Over 30 years you lose it all. I bought the Bitcoin thinking I was buying that share of 21 million. If you put your money in Bitcoin you're keeping in all. You're not losing anything. Bitcoin is the hardest asset in the history of the world. It's an anti-fragile evolving thing. You can liquidate a $100 Million dollar worth Bitcoin in a foreign country, in a foreign currency in a saturday afternoon. You might take a 3% haircut. Try moving gold and doing that in Istanbul. Bitcoin is dematerialized gold."
Quote from Michael Sayor again. MIT graduate with a double major in aeronautics and astronautics; and science, technology, and society. CEO and founder of Microstrategy and founder of a couple other billion dollar companies and author of New York Times bestseller book about technology and someone who invested $250 Million of company's treasury in Bitcoin.
