When I was in my very early 20s I spoke to an accountant about opening an IRA. he asked me when I wanted to retire and I threw out 55. He just laughed.
I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I’ll be working a very long time and that I’ll have to change my lifestyle when I retire but that’s ok desu. I could easily live the rest of my days shitposting and playing vidya.
In the end though you never know what’s going to happen in your life. You could lose your retirement at any point for any of a number of reasons. Nothing is guaranteed and 30+ years (in my case) is a long time for things to change.

I haven’t caught a moon mission since June, and only had one profitable trade since that.
