Today I took a trip to a lake. This lake was way out in the wilderness, and along the way I was reflecting on media in the modern era. It seems to me that media effects us all whether we like it or not. And I don't mean media in general, but specifically mass media such as popular movies and TV shows which seep into the collective consciousness, create memes, and propagate themselves into new venues. In fact, one may view a meme as being an echo of corporate America itself. We like to think that our frog posting board is free from external influence, but in reality we need to have some sort of shared baseline experience for memes to make sense and that comes from the mainstream media that we have been exposed to either by choice or indirectly through our peers. Maybe it's better for us to buy the so-called cabal coins after all, as they are created by the same forces which build our baseline reference for communication instead of fringe memes that are only twisted simulacra of what our corporate overlords feed the populace. I also saw some sheep and elk today. Elk are pretty cute and graceful, more so than deer. For dinner, I ate an elk burger.
