It's pretty great. If you just make the books in times of low volatility like this, you get the inverse fee from the market buyer. Don't use too much leverage though! Use heikin-ashi and at LEAST 3 minute candles, 1 minute is for fools. You need to at least check the longer term candles too. Use Stoch RSI and Ichimoku clouds at 10,30,61,30.
Stoch on the 15 and 30 minutes <5 = buy
Stoch on the 15 and 30 minutes >5 = sell
Clouds work great at varying timescales, but I find that the most useful are 3 minute, 15 minute, 1 hour. Above the cloud is a (relative to the timescale) uptrend, and below is a downtrend. Inside the cloud or twirling around the cloud is a flat trend.

Just go with the momentum and as long as you're right more than you're wrong at low leverage, you should be golden.

If you go 100x all bets are off and you should print out welfare application forms at the same time.

The cold hard truth is that you have near zero chance to become an early adopter-tier or even close to it without getting extremely lucky, but you can increase those odds with a little thing called leverage. Certain folks on this platform simply 100x longed bitcoin from obvious dips (3k china dip, lots of confidence buying here cuz Goldman call) and made killings. Don't think you can pull off the big short though you fucking retard, because I know some of you will try.
Good luck.

Here's unironically a good way:
Deposit $50-$100 in BitMEX. Use $1 at a time to make leveraged trades at 50x or 100x (50 or 100 contracts respectively) and give it your best shot. Don't get greedy, if you made 1-10% you win, just keep doing it over and over again. Eventually the dopamine responses in your brain will rewire themselves to funnel you into making more successful trades. It's called dust trading and combined with the tight liquidation points, you'll learn real fast kiddo and you'll have tons of shots at it if you mess up and as long as you don't use cross leverage. Cross leverage will eat away your whole balance if you let it, so stick to isolated leverage. You can thank me later or just use this link to sign up for reduced fees, although remember that if you use limit orders, you earn the maker fee through the negative fees scheme on the platform! https://www.bitmex.com/register/eY1A09

With bitcoin having less and less volatility as time goes on (outside of short and specific timeframes), it begins to make more sense to trade it with leverage like you would normal forex. You can do it on GDAX or use derivatives on an exchange like BitMEX but I don't recommend bucket shops like Plus500, for some reason you Aussie scum seem to have all been roped into it. News is always quite predictable to trade, so just be patient and remember that we're still in a bull market and people will mostly still interpret bullish TA as buying time until something really bad happens. Don't open a short position for more than 30 minutes. You can have two accounts on this website to take multiple positions on the same contract if you feel uncertain but know volatility is coming, but often times it's better to just sit it out until you feel more sure.

It's easy OP! You simply deposit it all on BitMEX, and be patient. Once you find a good entry point, use about 1/10th of your deposit to start easing yourself into a position. You can always adjust it later depending on conditions. Just take profit, don't get greedy, and you can make plenty! If you use 100x you deserve your results. There's nothing wrong with sane trading on this platform and if you are very patient you can get away with using high leverage by trading big news. With the inverse fees, you can make a hefty amount simply for making the books and not being wrong about the momentum.

Tired of gambling on shitcoins? Want to get in on the derivatives action before those CME plebs? Ask me anything you'd like to know about BitMEX, the Bitcoin Mercantile Exchange. Up to 100x leverage is offered although you should stay far away from it unless you are completely certain about the momentum and have enough collateral to avoid liquidation. Most people suggest about 10x maximum for a newcomer. There are stop hunters and liquidation hunters who push the prices around a bit to catch overleveraged people, but if you are competent at risk management, you should be fine, or at least learn a lot :^)

BitMEX is NOT a cryptocurrency exchange - as in, you cannot buy litecoin or ether here - which is the misconception many newmexers have upon joining. It is a derivatives exchange that trades in futures and swap contracts. The primary purpose is for cryptocurrency holders to hedge their risk against downturn, although it can obviously also be used to magnify gains through accurate speculation. You can also find a role here arbitraging between futures and spot prices. (see: cash-and-carry arbitrage)

The perpetual inverse swap contract is a $1 contract bought with BTC where you have more bitcoin (dollar-wise) to gain from taking a short position in a downturn than you have to gain by taking a long position in a bull market. Another fascinating thing about taking a short position on XBTUSD swaps is that it effectively can create synthetic USD without ever having to go through USD. All this from the power of derivatives! You can read an interesting blog post about it here: https://blog.bitmex.com/xbtusd-the-philosophers-stone/

Signing up with this link (although you obviously don't have to) is appreciated and grants a discount on market order fees for 6 months.
