>China is a country that likes their own things.

The lack of an alternative isn't exactly an indication that they prefer Baidu over Google.

What % of the rest of the world uses Baidu?

*crickets*

Who is going to use NEO?

The Lockheed Martin Skunkworks are well known for their technological advances.

Their compact fusion project is interesting, for a handful of reasons.

You get the usual, a powerplant on the back of a truck that could power a city of 100k, but they're going one step further.

The big plane in this photo is the C5 Galaxy. They are designing the fusion plant to be small enough to fit in and power this plane.

By their estimation, it will be able to fly for a year on "a few bottles" of hydrogen.

You can read about it here:

Lockheed Martin is the "military industrial complex" Eisenhower warned about. They are, in many ways, more powerful than the government.

However... from an investor standpoint, this is a good deal.

They have a page dedicated to the compact fusion on their website.

The large plane in this image is the C-5. They're already working on having the power plant small enough to power this plane. According to their web site, it will be able to fly for a year on a "few bottles of hydrogen"

Not only does this have ramifications to investors, it will totally remake the geopolitical dynamic.

Fusion = oil no longer has power. Which means that international terrorism loses it's funding, and the crazy terrorist states can no longer blackmail us with their oil or use our money to fund their terror.

It also means the environment is improved since we will no longer need coal to power our generators (one department is working on how to convert existing plants to the new tech).

As part of this, they are also developing new heat transfer techniques which will revolutionize the turbine industry.

Bottom line... unless peace breaks out all over the world, Lockheed is one of those stocks you just buy and hold forever.
