So the results are in. We're dropping a new motor in my truck.

The way I see it is I'm going to have to drop AT LEAST $1000 on a solution. Renting + Greyhound is like $1050, fixing the head gasket is going to be $1400 + time, and replacing the engine is going to cost $1600. At these prices, I think my best bet is to reinvest in the assets I have - and that means I will also have my own vehicle when i get down there.

No-brainer once I had all the numbers crunched.
