To be honest, I can't remember anything she told me about them. I get the feeling that they weren't particularly special though, just something she'd picked up at one time, came across when going through her things, and decided to pass down rather than holding onto them until death.

She didn't give me any certificates or anything with them, just the bars themselves, but I don't really have any reason to doubt they're real. She owns plenty of silver besides these.
