There is a balance to the scenario, and I agree that the numbers are very likely skewed depending on regulation and other economic stresses. With that said, the established relationship of economic activity up and infection rate up is what matters (for the time being). I completely agree with analysts that say Corona should be modeled as a natural disaster, but what I think that's missing is that this is a one to two and a half year natural disaster. I will also state that the ventilator situation and creation of a liquid set of resources between hospitals puts the US in a much better state than it was back in February, but we really need to understand the virus more and let it keep becoming weaker. Additionally, vaccine won't happen and it's a liability for the corps that get the pump. I think KURE might be of some interest, to answer your original question.

The confusion probably rises because taleb confuses creativity and iq, and the difference between nation wide studies and outlier individuals. Schizhoprenics (0.5% of population) for example have low iq but abnormally high creativity, they usually dont seem to 'slow' at all when you talk to them but they are horrible test takers
