Hello OP, I've heard that /xsg/ is making a waifu/mascot/thread-tan or whatever and I just want to remind you all not to start doing chaos magic. I don't want this asset to monkey's paw me just because a bunch of schizos couldn't learn their lessons from the catastrophic results of baneposting, kekposting, and other forms of 2015-17 meme magic that brought short term gains and destroyed the board demographics in the long term (not to mention destroying the right). If you're still here, I've been looking into the ETF you pointed me towards.

How do returns work with a fund like this? Is it like compound interest, or some other mechanism i'm not yet aware of? Does it pay dividends? I see that it's ten year performance is around 35%, which is fucking great, and sounds too good to be true.

Is it too good to be true? I did the math, and over 20 years if it hold steady, 10k will net my boy 4.5 million. That's bonkers. I'm doing something wrong to come up with numbers like that.

How does it actually work, anon? How risky is something like this? I've had family members lose everything in the stock market, but I suspect they didn't know what they were doing. 10k isn't a life ending amount for me, but it's also a fuckload of money for me.

Even if you feel like telling me to fuck off and learn it all myself, I'd really like to thank you for pointing me in a promising direction.
