>Get interested in business and stocks
>It's my hobby like video games for other people
>Have no money, but literature and websites etc. are interesting
>Gain a lot of (paper) trading experience in the following years

>9 years later, probably late-2009
>Compulsive military service
>Bought a lot (like 8k€) worth of silver because of GFC
>Have nightwatch and browse 4chan
>See first threads about Bitcoin
>Think this shit goes nowhere because Altcoins can easily be launched
>Underestimate network effects
>It’s too difficult for me to buy BTC, also all the sites look sketchy as fuck
>Quadruple money with physical silver coins (rise in commodity price + collectors value + change in national VAT policy for these coins)

>start to do stuff with automated trading
>not really good at since I can’t program well, and there are many traps to fall into, but it works good enough
>Only do low risk stuff (made like 30% in 2.5 years)

>Miss first rise of LTC to from 0 to 4$ because btc-e didn't look trustworthy

>Bitcoin stronk
>Think Litecoin pattern will repeat and also rise
>Send ~8k€ to btc-e
>days later: no money
>Bank calls me. They thought I was victim of phishing attack and didn’t send the money

>Litecoin has already tripled to 10$
>Buy in anyway
>Everything goes crazy one day later
>Do various altcoin trades
>at the end have like 65k€
