EURO vs USD is down 50% from the peak in the last decade also.
So yes... you can lose and did with german euro bonds...?

Good luck with your investments anon. Just don't go all in on Goverment Bonds their really mostly about to go down a lot or to zero like Icelandic bonds did in 2008.
