Thanks man. What kind of website are you going to be building? If its just a simple blogging website it would be better to use wix or divi from wordpress. You want to get something up and running first and then further down the line you can implement a more custom solution. I've used divi for a couple of blogging website and honestly it's pretty good.

I figured for me it was just easier to write my own website because I needed to do a lot of optimization because it was so image heavy. Plus I've written a lot of python scripts to help with creating the thumbnails and writing 5000+ lines of html code for the images. CSS is always a pain to get right so I fought with it a lot as well.

Bottom line is use and website builder.
