They are indeed quite predictable. For now. All it takes is one bad swing to ruin it all, though.

Our crabbing margins aren't all that high. For you to make a decent penny on swinging, you'd need to bet a lot of GRT each time. And if GRT, say, spikes in price and starts crabbing higher after you had just sold, then you lose a lot of swinging progress. On the other end, if you buy and the price goes down, then you're stuck with a large stack you can't sell at a profit, and you have to wait for it to increase again. So if you make a mistake in your swinging, you can be soft-locked from swinging profitably for a while, if not permanently given a large change.

Or, you can just delegate, and get a nigh-guaranteed steady return. You'll never lose GRT this way. Worse thing that can happen is that an Indexer bails and you need to pull out, but if you vet your Indexer, these odds are low.
