The method the democrats used was elegant, genius, and probably not technically illegal. What they actually did (and will do again until stopped) was go around cities and important counties in swing states and register "likely D voters" at their houses with mail in ballots. They then simply collected them like reverse mailmen and dropped them off at the precinct.

There is no control over whether they need to hit every house. So you go to a block, ask only the black people, Hispanic people, young and childless women who haven't registered to vote (which is information both the RNC and DNC have). Then you leave with a box full of almost entirely Democrat votes.

This is why Biden got several late night dumps that didn't have a corollary dump for Trump. In fact, Trump asking his team to do this exact thing is the basis for the "find me the votes" charges in Georgia. We are way beyond voting for a solution to these problems.
