If you want a daily wear sports watch it's not even a question, go with Rolex. The Submariner is right in that price range and if you want to go slightly over there's the GMT-Master II.

If you want a more formal dress piece in that range the best brand is probably Jaeger-LeCoultre. Bit of a mouthful but I like their Master Ultra Thin watches with the moonphase complication, which can be had for 10k if you want it in stainless.
