I'm a little bit late to the thread, but what's /smg/s opinion on Xiaomi?

Their phone sales could potentially grow significantly in the western markets now that the next gen of Huawei phones have been all but confirmed to be banned from the play store (therefore utterly useless to normie customers). Xiamoi should provide the same ching-chongy user experience for Android users who crave a trendy looking smartphone but don't want to spend money on a proper flagship.
Am I missing something here? It almost seems too obvious...
