Before you get pissed because of the GME shit, I'm not looking to open an account because of that. I'm 19 and sitting on 10k from working all through high school and I want to invest it to try and make actual money for after college. I opened a robinhood account during the GME rush but never actually invested in it, and I'm not giving them any money after learning how greedy they are. I've heard TDAmeritrade and Fidelity are good options, but I didn't know if either was better than another.

I might also be looking into S&P500's to just dump some money into so I don't have to watch stocks all day, but I wanted to see what people who actually know about the market ( or pretend to know about the market) have to say about a newfag like me.
